Inventory glitch Empty Inventory glitch

I need help please... Im just starting out on the game and for some reason i cant see the inventory. i press "I" and it doesnt show. I've been told that it was a resolution issue, but that didnt work either. Any ideas on how i can fix this? (Pls and thank you)
